Kaempferol was first extracted from Kaempferia galanga, a plant of the ginger family. It is also found in broccoli, tomatoes and beans. It is a light yellow crystal, slightly soluble in water, hot ethanol and ether. Function and Application

1. Improve cardiac function. Epidemiological data suggest that KAE is beneficial for cardiovascular disease and may reduce the risk of acute myocardial infarction.
2. Protect nerves. It may protect neurons from damage and may play a role in neurodegenerative diseases.
